Loose Volume vs Stacked Volume: What is the Difference?

Loose volume refers to the space taken up by logs when they are loosely loaded or poured into a container – this is the UK industry and legal standard. Stacked volume is what you’ll see when the logs are neatly stacked at home. Stacked volume is typically more than a third less than loose volume and gives you a clearer idea of the space your logs will occupy once unpacked from the crate.
